Burn Permits

Currently burn permits are now required in Elk Bend Fire Protection District from May 10th - October 20th 2026, per the Idaho Department of Lands (excluding campfires). If you are considering burning on your property, please contact Fire Chief Dietzel to get a burn permit 208-894-2200. Burn Permits are FREE and of no cost to you. See https://burnpermits.idaho.gov/

Do you need to utilize a Fire District Facility?

Initial Fees (Full Facility Rental)

  • Minimum rental: 2 hours

  • Hourly rate (first 3 hours), by group size:

    • Up to 20 people: $15/hr

    • 21–40 people: $40/hr

    • 41–75 people: $50/hr

    • 75+ people: $65/hr

  • Refundable deposit: 20% of the total rental cost

Request & Payment Timeline

  • Submit your request at least 45 days before the event date (requests under 30 days may be considered case-by-case).

  • Payment deadline: reservations are only confirmed once paid in full, and payment must be received at least 7 days before the event.
